With the holidays officially on the horizon (YAY), I have found myself struggling with one of the most challenging aspects of gift giving: affording the gifts. Since I am a full-time student and income is relatively slim to none, I am going to introduce you to two of my favorite websites that can help you get some last-minute cash!

  1. Opinion Outpost
If you’re anything like me, you spend a lot of your free time online. Enter the best time-killer of all time: Opinion Outpost. All you have to do is take surveys to assist companies and brands with consumer research and you earn points that can be redeemed for cash or donated to charity. I have made a bunch of money on this site (it’s legit, I promise!) and all you need to earn your cash is a PayPal account, easy as 1-2-3!

  2. ThredUp
As a self-proclaimed online shopping enthusiast I tend to amass a lot of clothing throughout the year that honestly, I don’t get around to wearing regularly. Here comes ThredUp, an online service that not only pays you for your clothing, but donates whatever cannot be sold to charity.
Here’s how it works: you order a free clean-out bag which is sent to your home with a free return address, you pack it up with clothes/shoes/bags, send it back, and once the bag is processed you receive an email with the money you’ve made! For me, this is the best of both worlds: I can get cash back for items I no longer wear and make someone else’s day!

I hope these two website are able to help you out, and if you have any other suggestions, leave them in the comments below!
