As is tradition in the lives a recent graduate, change tends to happen all at once. Case in point: moving to a new place and simultaneously moving up a division!
After four years living in Old Towne Orange County, I made the move to the land of movie studios and high-rent…aka Burbank, California. Fun fact: my apartment is literally a block away from the barn I train at, and I can wake up to horses neighing every morning which is a dream come true! I live by myself in a one-bedroom apartment that used to be a 1960s motel, making the building a really fun mix of vintage and modern! I’m sure I’ll do a post about my apartment decor, but for now check out how cute the flowers and fairy lights in my bedroom section are!
Thanks to my parents and my partner, I moved in and got settled in record time, with ample help from Ikea and delivery pizza. I’m being honest! But with that big change also came moving up to the MoJAMs, or 1.20m jumpers with Cassandro Z. I was literally thrown into my first 1.20 class without my knowledge as a surprise and reward for kicking serious butt in the 1.10 meters, and I have a video from my round in Showpark that won me 7th out of 50!
How amazing is that? I’ve been having a great time challenging myself and moving up, and I can’t wait to see where I go next!
